Whew!

1463 pages, and I finished it. I read every word, unabridged, unlike those pretend book lovers, the Judd Brothers ;-) . If I wasn’t about to leave on a major vacation, I would post a review. Here’s a mini-review:

Les Miserables is a very good book…you should read it, the whole thing.

If that doesn’t give you enough information, you can wait for the longer version, after I return. If you can’t wait, you are welcome to slog through the IM discussion I had with the Attractive, Socially-Skilled and Well-Scrubbed Bibliophiles. We completed part four tonight.

I’ve been enjoying some lovely lavender soap and honey from France (”France, a land flowing with soap and honey” is almost as catchy as “Virginia is for Lovers”), sent by Laura in Lyon who is in the U.S. If you’re reading this, Laura, thank you!

I’ve also been lining up some guest bloggers for while I’m gone. I will be popping in and out, you never know when, but my internet access will be spotty, so stay tuned for some posts from a few of my friends. Be kind to them. Pieter and one of my daughters and I will be leaving early Wednesday. I appreciate your prayers for our safety and for the sanity of my dear husband who will be holding down the fort.
